Following the 3rd May post, details of where NAG’s officers will be for the World Naked Bike Ride have now been finalised. From 2.00pm onwards NAG supporters can meet up in Hyde Park at a grassy bank by the sign-posted 1977 Silver Jubilee planted “Silver Bed”, just 200yds to the north of the giant Achilles Statue. Here NAG management group members can update you on current NAG work and seek your views and comments before the ride starts.
Sadly, we will have to observe the time-limited ‘nudity zone’ conditions which the London WNBR collective have agreed with the Royal Parks. This means that nudity will only be possible from 3.00pm, in preparation for the start of the Ride near the Achilles Statue, just in from the Queen Mother Gate on Park Lane.
Several NAG supporters participated in 2010 and for 2011 it is possible for NAG supporters to ride as an identified group. A pennant is available for you to download from the NAG website at http://naturistactiongroup.org
In 2010 the numbers of participants in the London WNBR were slightly down at just over 1,000. Some were in fancy dress, and from casual observation about 80% were not fully dressed, with about 35% totally nude (both sexes).
The London WNBR starts in Hyde Park at 3.30pm, and the organisers are still seeking more volunteer stewards for the assembly area; you can still join the ride once it’s begun. Contact them on email@example.com.
